September has historically been one of the tougher months for the Australian share market, but that doesn’t mean every stock follows the broader market lower.

This week, Wealth Within senior analysts Filip Tortevski and Pedro Banales examine three ASX stocks that have historically performed strongly in September and, importantly, have potential catalysts that could support them again in 2026.

First is Paladin Energy (ASX: PDN). The uranium producer enters September following a strong FY26 result, with production at the top end of guidance and costs at the lower end. Elevated uranium prices and growing global interest in energy security and nuclear power provide additional tailwinds.

Next is Fisher & Paykel Healthcare (ASX: FPH). Healthcare can provide defensive qualities during volatile markets, while Fisher & Paykel has upgraded its FY27 outlook following stronger demand for hospital hardware and consumables. Its recent breakout to record highs also puts the stock firmly on the radar.

Finally, Orica (ASX: ORI) could benefit from continued strength in global gold and copper mining activity, supporting demand for its mining products and technology.

While seasonality alone is never enough to justify an investment, Filip and Pedro combine historical performance, current fundamentals and technical analysis to determine whether these three stocks could outperform this September.
