- New results successfully extend Big Red and Potoroo pegmatite systems
- Demonstrate further near-term upside for DSO development strategy at Kangaroo Hills
- Drilling at Big Red West identifies thickening pegmatite system
- Twelve pegmatite targets yet to be drill tested at Miriam
Ore Resources (ASX: OR3) has further confirmed the potential of its DSO development strategy with significant results from its regional RC drilling program across its Coolgardie Lithium projects in WA.
The expanded RC program followed drilling success in May 2026 at Kangaroo Hills with the company extending its operational focus at the Coolgardie Lithium projects through further targeted exploration drilling.
MD and CEO, Nick Rathjen, said the company is already progressing discussions with strategic parties to advance the Kangaroo Hill lithium project (KHLP) to production after obtaining positive outcomes from a lithium DSO study.
“These latest RC drilling results continue to highlight the significant growth potential at Kangaroo Hills, confirming extensions to mineralisation beyond the current MRE boundary, while also returning strong results from areas currently classified as Inferred resources,” Mr Rathjen said.
“These outcomes have increased our confidence in the Kangaroo Hills geological model by demonstrating the continuity, grade and thickness of mineralisation, providing a strong foundation for future resource growth and classification upgrades.”
He told shareholders drilling has continued to reinforce the quality, scale and continuity of the Big Red and Potoroo pegmatite systems, which importantly remain open to the north and west.
Beyond the resource area, regional exploration also delivered encouraging first-pass results, with drilling at Big Red West intersecting a 44m-thick pegmatite system.
He said these results also suggest the system remains open and may be thickening towards the east, providing further evidence of lithium prospectivity within the broader project area.
“We are excited to recommence drilling in early October 2026 with a focus on expanding the highly prospective Forrest and Burbanks Monarch gold prospects within the Miriam gold project,” Mr Rathjen said.
“In addition, first pass drilling at Avoca is planned and we expect a strong pipeline of news flow as we continue to unlock value across our lithium and gold portfolio through the remainder of 2026 and into next year.”
An upcoming drill program will be undertaken across the Coolgardie gold projects, focused on RC program at Forrest and Burbanks Monarch prospects, with first pass air core at Avoca to expand existing mineralisation and unlock new gold discovery potential.
OR3 was steady at 7.4¢ with a Mkt cap of $61.23M prior to markets opening.
