Global Lithium Resources (ASX: GL1) took off after it announced it had entered into a binding scheme implementation seed (SID) with Titan Australia Mining under which it is proposed that Titan will acquire 100% of the shares in Global Lithium.
The offer price of $1.15 per share values Global Lithium at around $333 million and represents a significant premium to the company’s recent traded prices.
Global Lithium’s MD, Dr Dianmin Chen, said Global Lithium shareholders will receive compelling value for their shares.
“Your board and I have weighed the certain and immediate value on offer from Titan against the funding requirements, execution risk and timeframe involved in constructing and developing the Manna lithium project, in what continues to be a volatile period for lithium markets.
“In our view, the offer fairly recognises the value and quality of the Manna Lithium Project and the work our team has done to advance the project and allows shareholders to realise that value in cash today.”
GL1 was up was up 51.9% to $1.01.
Narryer Metals (ASX: NYM) was popular on HotCopper on news of its plans to acquire 100% of the Redhill project a high-grade copper and precious metals asset located in southern Chile,
Executive chairman, Richard Bevan, said the transaction provides the company with an entry point into the world’s pre-eminent copper jurisdiction and exposure to a district scale project with significant growth potential.
“The Redhill copper project represents a rare, district-scale opportunity in a premier, mining-friendly jurisdiction. Cutters Cove, the most advanced area within the project, features historic, high-grade copper production, an existing resource and a substantial exploration target.”
NYM jumped 32.3% to 8.6¢.
Waratah Minerals (ASX: WTM) was up significantly on outstanding results from a drill hole at the rapidly growing Spur gold discovery, in New South Wales.
Multiple high-grade intercepts serve to define four zones of high-grade mineralisation at the Consols Zone extending mineralisation 70m north and 150m east.
“SPD075 is one of the most consequential holes drilled at the project. Not only has the hole provided a significant extension to known mineralisation, it has also delivered exceptional gold grades and confirmed the continuity of multiple mineralised zones across the Consols Zone within the wider Spur gold discovery,” MD, Peter Duerden, said.
“The standout result of 46 m at 7.27 g/t Au, including 10 m at 28.93 g/t Au, highlights the fertility of the system and its ability to generate high-grades.
“Importantly, SPD075 links mineralisation over approximately 400 m of strike and 400 m vertically, providing further confidence that Spur is evolving into a large-scale and coherent gold discovery.”
WTM was up 28.9% to 78.0¢.
