Stakk Limited (ASX: SKK) has been on an absolute tear in recent history, especially after recently spending tens of millions of dollars on a US AI-based document forgery identification software product.

That streak continued on Wednesday: the company has teamed up with Step One Financial (SOF) over in the States, an emerging financial services business owned by none other than the world’s most subscribed YouTuber James Donaldson – otherwise known as “Mr. Beast.”

Mr. Beast’s popularity among children can’t be understated, the man basically created a new form of YouTube video genre. Similar to old school game shows but with large money rewards edited to be shorter in length and faster in pace, often with absurd challenges involved in the name of cold hard cash.

Mr. Beast’s videos have always had a unashamedly capitalist bent, and so perhaps it’s unsurprising that Mr. Beast has become involved in the financial services industry. He’s also branched out into chocolate bars, for-kids meal kits; a burger chain and, of course, branded toys.

And, ever on the pulse, Stakk Ltd have now teamed up with Mr. Beast’s SOF. They will assist Mr. Beast’s SOF mobile app where related to remote deposit in the US; Stakk reported the Step mobile app has some seven million users on Wednesday.

Only yesterday, SKK revealed it had inked a deal with none other than US tech and consulting services giant International Business Machines – otherwise known as IBM.

That deal with IBM saw liquidity spike on Tuesday, and before that it inked a $12.95M deal with Candescent, a provider of US financial infrastructure – that was only five days ago.

Only last week, the company also inked a deal to make available its AI-powered forgery detection software to none other than the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

One thing Stakk has always been good at: partnering with big-name entities overseas. To say the ASX-listed tech microcap has a US focus is underselling it, perhaps. In the past, it’s also partnered with NASDAQ-listed US telco T-Mobile and US ‘meme stock’ fame trading app Robinhood.

Those two latter deals were made when Stakk offered different products; since acquiring the AI forgery detection software from US-based ParaScript for US$63M in July, it’s been running hard on that strategic pivot as a business.

But the issue with all of these announcements, for some, is that they tend to lack dollar signs spelling out just how much revenue the company will be making. This bothers some traders more than others, in late August the company reported having $17.6M in cash.
