Alligator extends mineralisation south of Blackbush, advances Plumbush infill drilling

Alligator Energy (ASX:AGE) has successfully intersected uranium mineralisation south of the known extent of the Blackbush deposit at Samphire after a ~300-hole drilling campaign which started in mid-July, extending the mineralised trend onto the Mullaquana Crown Lease by a further 600 metres.

The FY27 program is part of the company’s Samphire growth strategy, focusing on expanding mineral resources and supporting feasibility work.

Key high-grade intersections from these latest Blackbush results include hole BBRM26-482, returning five metres at 0.13% (1,299 ppm) eU3O8 from 63.6 metres, and BBRM26-484, yielding 2.4 metres at 0.20% (2,025 ppm) eU3O8 from 61 metres. Other notable intercepts included BBRM26-472 and BBRM26-479.

Concurrently, Alligator has started infill drilling at Plumbush to test the five-kilometre Blackbush-Plumbush corridor and convert the inferred Plumbush resource to the “indicated” category in Samphire’s feasibility study.

This represents the first drilling at Plumbush since CY11, the explorer explained today, building on past historical intersections reported by UraniumSA.

Alligator’s CEO and MD Andrea Marsland-Smith said “these early results are an encouraging start to our Samphire growth program and demonstrate the strategic importance of securing access to the Mullaquana Crown Lease.”

“Intersecting uranium mineralisation approximately 600 metres further south of previous drilling expands the area available for systematic evaluation, while the closer-spaced work within Plumbush is strengthening the geological dataset for the Feasibility Study. The team has moved quickly from securing access to having two rigs operating to advance this program at pace,” she explained today.

Elsewhere, Alligator completed 108 delineation holes within the existing Blackbush Mineral Resource area on a 25-metre by 25-metre spacing. Results “align closely with the current resource model, providing increased technical confidence for detailed mine planning,” the company told shareholders today.

HotCopper understands the explorer has now swapped to continuous day-shift drilling, using two rigs to complete the program in Q4. Data’ll feed into the now-planned Samphire Mineral Resource update in Q1/Q2 CY27 and the ongoing Feasibility Study; that means new updates should come through soon.

AGE opened at 5.2cps, and has been up +126% this year.
