Altitude Minerals (ASX:ATT) is testing a number of compelling RC drill targets recently confirmed at the Byrock project in New South Wales. The new RC program will examine Macquarie Arc pencil (pipe-like) porphyry deposits.

The drilling comes after the processing of new gravity and passive seismic data, which has been completed and integrated with CY25 magnetics data and alteration studies to predict depth to target and optimise RC drill collar locations.
Byrock is a company interpreted north-west segment of the Macquarie Arc, which hosts the economic copper-gold porphyry Cadia and North Parkes mines to the south.
MD, Duncan Chessell, said these deposits exhibit “pipe-like” geophysical features with dimensions analogous to targets within Byrock.
“With drilling now commenced at Byrock, Altitude is moving from target definition to drill testing of concealed porphyry-style systems beneath shallow cover on the company’s interpreted extension of the Macquarie Arc,” Mr Chessell said.
“The program is designed to test pipe-like geophysical targets in a disciplined, cost-effective manner, and we look forward to updating shareholders on the results.”
The program is being operated by project partner Nimrod Resources in collaboration with Altitude’s geology team as part of the earn-in and JV agreement between the two companies.
Drilling has commenced using a UDR1000 multi-purpose rig supplied by Resolution Drilling (NSW). The planned reverse circulation program comprises approximately 2,300 metres to test three high-priority Pipe targets.
The specialist UDR1000 rig undertaking the program can switch to diamond core drilling if ground conditions require it, and contingency planning has provided the necessary equipment on site to ensure targets are effectively tested.
The CY26 data, combined with drilling results and previously collected geophysics, have allowed the company to interpret alteration zones, depth to “core” of the interpreted porphyry mineral system, rank targets across the company’s portfolio and design drill holes to optimise the best use of RC metres.
Altitude expects drilling to be completed this month.
ATT is steady at 1¢. Mkt cap $4.461M.
