The Institute for Global Environmental Strategies initial plastic-to-fuel model is currently being installed in Amsterdam.

The core model which represents 50 tonnes per day of capacity arrived in Amsterdam, March 29th and is now being transported to the plastic-to-fuel plant.

Installation is currently underway with more parts expected to arrive in the next few days. The second model is nearing completion and is expected to arrive in Amsterdam, from Australia, in June.

Once both projects are installed the site will have the capacity to process 100 tonnes of plastic and produce 35 million litres of fuel per year.

This site will comply with IGES statement of creating a green and clean plant for future generations.

“The successful production of IGES core modules is the result of a culmination of many years of continuous research and development that allows IGES to convert end of life plastic to fuel without any further refinement, blending or additives,” Chief Technical Director Bevan Dooley stated.
