  • Assay results received from Arrow Minerals’ Divole East project have confirmed the extension of known and interpreted gold-bearing structures
  • A 24 reverse circulation drilling program intersected gold mineralisation in each of the three targets tested
  • Drilling is planned for Q4 2019 to follow-up on the results at Divole East and other high priority targets

Arrow Minerals has confirmed that assay results received from the Divole East project confirm the extension of known and interpreted gold-bearing structures.

The 24 hole, for 2385 metres, reverse circulation (RC) drilling program intersected gold mineralisation at each of the three targets tested.

These targets include a sheared porphyry intersected in 2017, an interpreted north-south shear zone, and laminated quartz veins.

Soil geochemistry, auger drilling, geological mapping and geophysics all contributed to the definition of these targets.

“All three gold-bearing structures were confirmed in widely spaced drilling, and all three yielded gold values that warrant aggressive follow-up programs,” CEO Howard Golden said.

“Nine of the holes returned over 2g/t gold, with the best hole DERC19002, intersecting 2 metres at 4.8g/t gold.”

This maiden RC drill program at Divole East was designed to test multiple zones in a prospective Birimian Greenstone Belt in Burkina Faso that was purchased after regional analysis.

Gold concentration, thickness and continuity revealed in the recent drilling were positive, with multiple high-grade intersections in each of the target areas.

Further drilling will be completed in Q4 2019 at all three of the locations to further examine the extent and grade of gold mineralisation encountered during the current drilling program.

“When the drilling season in Burkina Faso returns in Q4 2019 we will be looking to increase the area of continuous gold mineralisation in all three Divole East target areas,” Howard added.

“We will also expand our exploration efforts to our other Burkina Faso licenses, commencing with a RC drill program at Divole West.”

A Divole Main five RC were completed to follow-up on a 2017 diamond drilling program that intersected up to 9.9 metres at 4.3g/t gold.

This RC program confirmed that mineralisation is focused in a sheared porphyry unit that extends for at least 240 metres along spike and is open in all directions.

At the Divole East Shear Zone eight RC holes were drilled to test the subsurface continuation of a shear zone that was interpreted from ground geophysics, artisanal workings and geological mapping.

Gold values from this shear zone include 1 metre at 2.8g/t gold from 75 metres, and 1 metre at 2.7g/t gold.

This shear zone is interpreted to continue toward an intersection with vein structures that host high-grade mineralisation and expand the potential strike length of gold mineralisation.

It is significant in that the gold mineralisation is reasonably continuous with seven of the eight holes intersecting grades greater than 1g/t gold along a strike length of 480 metres.

The southern end of the shear zone appears to intersect the laminated quartz vein and could present a potential for further exploration potential. This area will being of focus in the next drill campaign.

A total of 11 holes were completed at Divole East along the interpreted laminated quartz vein.

The best intersections include 3 metres at 3.7g/t gold from 53 metres, and 2 metres at 4.8 g/t gold.

Out of the 11 holes drilled only four intersected the vein and associated gold mineralisation. This is because the structure appears to be more to the ENE than what was originally believed.

Further testing of the structure is required to follow the vein. Additional work has also been planned to understand the mineralisation.

Additional work will be undertaken at the Divole East project to test the extension of mineralisation at all of the zones.

Arrow Minerals will also undertake geochemical and geological work at its other tenements in Burkina Faso which include Nako, Boulsa and Hounde South. The objective of these works is to define drill targets for drill testing in 2020.
