The ASX closed up 0.7% at 7,999 points.

Staples was the best performing sector, up 1.2%, followed by Real Estate, Industrials and Financials, all up around 1.1%.

Health Care was the sole sector in the red, down 0.5%.

In the Green

Frontier Energy (ASX:FHE) closed up 14.8% after progressing to the second stage of its strategic investor process for the Waroona Renewable Energy Project following multiple non-binding indicative offers from potential investors.

Frontier Energy closed at 15.5 cents.

Delta Lithium (ASX:DLI) finished up 2.9% after an update on exploration and permitting at its 100%-owned Mt Ida Gold Project in Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields.

Delta Lithium closed at 17.5 cents.

Clinuvel Pharmaceuticals (ASX:CUV) closed up 2.9% following the release of promising preliminary results from its second clinical study investigating its drug as a treatment for arterial ischaemic stroke.

Clinuvel Pharmaceuticals closed at $12.04.

In the Red

Paladin Energy (ASX:PDN) has wrapped up down 11.6%. Investors have been selling the stock following a not-so-positive update on the Langer Heinrich Mine in Namibia.

Paladin Energy closed at $5.65.

Sovereign Metals (ASX:SVM) closed down 16.4% following the completion of an institutional placement today.

Sovereign Metals closed at 81.5 cents.

Lunnon Metals (ASX:LM8) closed down 4.3% after completing key mining and exploration surveys in collaboration with the Ngadju People, the traditional owners of the land encompassing the Foster-Baker Project at St Ives.

Lunnon Metals closed at 22 cents.
