Algorae Pharmaceuticals (ASX:1AI) closed flat after kicking off a strategic partnership with the Victorian Centre for Functional Genomics at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.

The collaboration aims to validate 24 AI-predicted drug candidates – 21 of which are wholly AI-generated.

Algorae Pharmaceuticals closed at 0.7 cents.

Qantas (ASX:QAN) closed up 1.1% on reports subsidiary Jetstar is cashing in on shifting travel preferences. CEO Vanessa Hudson says cost-conscious travellers are increasingly opting for budget-friendly destinations such as Vietnam, Bali, Thailand, and Japan.

Qantas closed at $9.65.

In the Red

Light & Wonder (ASX:LNW) closed down 8.4% on release of its first quarter update. Light & Wonder revealed that total revenue was up 2.8% to US$774 million for the quarter falling short of the consensus estimate of US$805 million.

Light & Wonder closed up $133.15.

Brainchip (ASX:BRN) closed flat after releasing its quarterly update. Investor were underwhelmed and disappointed with the result  and sold off the stock.

Brainchip closed at 22.5 cents.
