Auris Minerals (AUR) has received the latest batch of results from ongoing diamond drill efforts at the company’s Forrest Deposit in Western Australia.

So far the explorer has completed three diamond drill holes for 862.5 metres at the Forrest Deposit, with a remaining four diamond drill holes for 1740 metres set to be completed.

More broadly, the drilling is hoped to infill and test for dip and plunge extensions of the existing copper resource, which sits at 2.4 million tonnes at 1.7 per cent copper for 41,500 tonnes copper.

The latest finds from the first hole included six metres at 1.5 per cent copper from 305 metres including two metres at 3.05 per cent copper from 308 metres and three metres at 1.86 per cent copper from 299 metres including one metre at 4.35 per cent copper from 299 metres.

However, one of the planned drills was unable to be executed to the planned depth of 430 metres after it became stuck at 382.9 metres.

Auris Managing Director Mike Hendriks described the results as highly encouraging.

“In particular the mineralised intersection within FPDD004W1 lies outside of the existing resource and remains open to the south and down dip, which clearly indicates the potential to expand the existing copper resource,” he explained.

Auris Minerals is trading flat at 9.3 cents per share at 2:04 pm AEDT.
