Bigtincan (BTH) has struck a $1 million deal with United States-based financial services specialist John Hancock today.

The contract will last for three years and is for Bigtincan’s financial services cloud product. According to the company, its product will help John Hancock sales teams deal with customers who are more educated and informed about the financial world — particularly those being driven by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bigtincan’s software is designed to streamline a company’s sales process, automating sales enablement to make the sales team more productive.

According to the company, sales representatives typically spend just 37 per cent of their time actually selling due to other manual tasks they need to perform. On top of this, Bigtincan said most training is forgotten within a month and 65 per cent of sales reps say they can’t find content to share with prospects.

As such, the contract with John Hancock will help the financial services company reach more customers through Bigtincan’s tech.

John Hancock’s financial services include life insurance, investing services, retirements plans, financial advice, and more. The company provides its services to both individual and business customers.

Bigtincan said the contract aligns with its strategy of partnering with enterprise customers to meet their requirements for a platform that can provide content, leaning, add-ons, and other features.

According to the company, this strategy makes its platform unique for key vertical markets.

Shares in BTH are trading 4.63 per cent higher this morning, currently worth $1.13 at 11:08 am AEDT. The company has a $427.85 million market cap.
