Biome Australia (BIO) has surpassed its sales revenue target of $7 million for the 2023 financial year.

The company announced that sales revenue in the fourth quarter of 2023 was being driven by both pharmacy and independent practitioner sales of its Activated Probiotics.

Biome Australia Managing Director Blair Norfolk said that reaching the sales revenue target was a “great achievement” and builds sales revenues of $4.12 million in 2022 and $2.23 million in 2021.

“With our deep understanding of our products and distribution channels, we look forward to strong growth in FY24,” he said.

“Biome continues to commercialise novel clinical research, which will lead to a number of key product launches in H1 FY24 to improve health outcomes for new patient groups with unmet medical needs.”

Biome distributes its products in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, and is in partnership with some of the world’s leading organisations in microbiome research and development.

The company’s activated probiotics are supported through clinical research and placebo-controlled trials and are proven to aid in the prevention of health issues, including low mood and sleep, bone health, iron malabsorption, mild eczema and IBS.
