Breaker Resources (BRB) has struck “bonanza” gold at the Bombora discovery at its Lake Roe gold project in Western Australia.

The company received results from an additional six diamond drill holes as part of its resource development program.

Five of the holes targeted the Northern Flats lode structures, with each delivering “substantial” results, including 0.78 metres at 199.1 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 659.37 metres, and 1.18 metres at 8.63 g/t gold from 460 metres.

The one diamond hole targeting extensions of the Tura lode also returned “significant” assays of 10.27 metres at 6.09 g/t gold from 348.5 metres.

“This is exciting stuff for Breaker!” Breaker CEO, Sam Smith said.

“These results continue to show how consistent the underground lodes are.

“Our previous mining studies have confirmed the Tura lode has what it takes to sustain a meaningful underground production source beneath any future Bombora open pit.”

Breaker has now called a temporary halt to its drill-out of the underground lodes at Bombora while it completes additional work on mine development studies for open pit and underground mining at Bombora.

As such, Mr Smith said the company will turn its focus to mine development studies on the Northern Flats.

“Our latest drilling continues to validate our structural model and in particular, their consistent predictable continuity and the structural controls of the high-grade ore shoots within them.”

During the hiatus in resource drilling, the company will move onto more detailed reconnaissance and greenfields-type works on these areas.

Breaker Resources was up 7.69 per cent, trading at 35 cents at 2:52 pm AEDT.
