Bulletin Resources Ltd (ASX:BNR) is expanding its Lake Rebecca gold project in Western Australia with the strategic acquisition of a 509 square kilometre land package adjacent to the company’s play.

This new acquisition comprises seven exploration tenements and is also close to Northern Star Resources’ Carosue Dam operations as well as Ramelius Resources’ Rebecca gold project and the Rose gold project.

Altogether, it now extends the Lake Rebecca project – located 150 kilometres east north-east of Kalgoorlie – to upwards of 1,100 square kilometres.

Ramelius’ projects have resources of 1.4 million ounces and 1.8 million ounces respectively, and Bulletin said it would be seeking to pursue exploration with similar mineralisation to these in mind: That is, large gold deposits low to medium in grade.

The new package is in the Norseman-Wiluna Greenstone Belt, on its eastern margin. The territory is comprised of mafic and ultramafic volcanic rocks, together with felsic to intermediate volcanic rocks and siliciclastic sedimentary.

Three established north-northwest oriented gold trends have been identified in the land package. The western one is associated with gold-arsenic prospects straddling parts of the Keith Kilkenny shear zone, the central zone contains prospects straddling Laverton/Pinjin and Celia Fault, and the eastern trend extends into the Lake Rebecca system, with a structural corridor which hosts Ramelius’ Rebecca, amongst others.

Bulletin has been trading at 4.2 cents.
