Connexion Telematics (CXZ) has been chosen as an approved vendor for the Ford Motor Company’s Ford Courtesy Transportation Program (FCTP).

The company has also been chosen for the Lincoln Courtesy Transportation Program (LCTP).

As part of the program, Connexion’s fleet and rental management platform will be available to Ford and Lincoln dealerships in the US from June 6.

According to the company, it is trusted by thousands of dealerships across multiple brands.

It also said it welcomes the opportunity to help Ford and Lincoln dealerships to optimise their loaner programs, simplify the rental process, and automate the recovery of expenses such as fuel usage and tolls, all whilst elevating the end customer’s experience.

Connexion noted that it is one of multiple software vendors approved to supply Ford and Lincoln dealers with fleet and rental management software that is customised for the FCTP and LCTP.

There is also no guarantee that Connexion will generate any minimum amount of revenue as most Ford and Lincoln dealerships already use a Ford-approved software solution.

Instead, the company noted that it is incumbent upon itself to market its approved product directly to Ford and Lincoln dealerships.

However, Connexion said Ford’s approval is an important milestone as the company enhances its direct-to-dealer relationships across the US.

Shares in Connexion were up 16.7 per cent, trading at 1.1 cents as of 11:52 am AEST.
