Tyranna Resources Ltd (ASX:TYX) believes there may be potential for its Muvero prospect in Angola to be extended to Muvero East based on drilling intercepts which have revealed high grades of lithium, caesium and tantalum, including up to 3.76 percent lithium oxide (Li2O), 11.40 percent caesium monoxide (Cs2O) and 1663 parts per million (ppm) tantalum pentoxide (Ta2O5).
Intercepts taken from 21 holes of drilling included 11 metres at 1.13 percent Li2O in one hole, 3 metres at 7.62 percent Cs2O in another and 5 metres at 538 ppm Ta2O5 in a third hole.
Overall, 27 mineralised intervals were observed, with the highest lithium result being 1 metre at 3.76 percent Li2O, the highest level of caesium being 1m at 11.40 percent Cs2O, and the best result for tantalum being 1 metre at 1663ppm Ta2O5.
Technical director Peter Spitalny said that grades results yielded from multiple holes in the program had reflected Tyranna’s hopes for the exploration work.
“We are very pleased that the results from MRC01 – MRC017 and MRC36 include very high grades of lithium, caesium and tantalum, in-line with expectations,” he said.
“Modification of drilling sampling protocols and change of pulp preparation method have had the desired effect.
“These results include the highest grades of Caesium and Tantalum yet encountered at Muvero and hint of results yet to come from Muvero, and eventually other prospects within the Namibe Lithium Project.”
The market seemed impressed with the news, as Tyranna had risen by 5 percent since the market open, to trade at 1 cent at 12:26 AEST.
