CZR Resources (CZR) has begun a reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at the Buddadoo Project in Western Australia.
The Buddadoo Project covers 300 square kilometres in which CZR owns a majority 85 per cent interest.
The gold and copper project also covers a 25-kilometre-long section of the Salt Creek Shear where it traverses the Gullewa Greenstone Belt and is nearby to the one-million-ounce Deflector gold mine owned by Silver Lake Resources (SLR).
CZR’s drill program will include up to 5000 metres of drilling targeting seven different prospects that were identified through mapping and sampling.
The company aims to assess the gold potential as well as the potential of the vanadiferous magnetite as an iron ore feedstock.
Initial drilling includes holes into areas of outcropping bedrock with geochemical anomalism and drill-traverses across areas of colluvial and alluvial cover to sample the underlying bedrock.
The drilling program is expected to take up to six weeks to complete with samples to be dispatched at intervals to the lab as drilling progresses.
CZR ended the day with shares trading 3.33 per cent lower at 1.5 cents at market close.
