DGO Gold (DGO) has completed drilling at its Mallina Gold Province in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

The program included 44 aircore holes for a total of 2149 metres. The holes were designed to test a 12 kilometre long anomaly outlined by the analysis of multi-element soil sampling data and a magnetic anomaly.

The assays did not return any ore-grade gold intersections, however, it did confirm the presence of anomalous gold of up to 0.7g/t, arsenic of up to 1200 parts per million (ppm) and antimony of up to 73ppm.

The company believes these results show gold mineralisation at the Scottie Well prospect.

DGO said these metals are significant as De Grey Mining recently found pyrite and arsenopyrite at Hemi, while antimony is commonly associated with gold mineralisation.

“De Grey’s recent success highlights the potential for significant discoveries in the Mallina Belt,” Executive Chairman Eduard Eshuys said.

“Analysis of De Grey’s Hemi results shows that gold mineralisation is best developed at depths greater than DGO drilled and that the current size of Hemi could fit between DGO’s first pass line spacing. DGO continues to be excited about the potential for a significant discovery at Mallina,” he added.

The company will now conduct a more detailed analysis of the data to determine vectors to mineralisation, which will be followed by more drilling.

DGO Gold is down 16.8 per cent on market close, selling shares for $1.98 each.
