Digital Wine Ventures (DW8) has posted fruitful December 2020 sales figures as the business reaps the rewards of its Wine Delivery Australia acquisition.

Fuelled further by the festive season, WINEDEPOT shipped 24,933 cases of wine in December, a 1000 per cent surge on November figures.

Order processing figures also continued to flow, up 113 per cent in December as the company recorded over 12,884 orders for the month.

DW8 announced it would acquire consumer service Wine Delivery Australia (WDA) in October last year, granting it access to 186 South Australian wineries on WDA’s register.

The announcements mark the end of a successful quarter for the company, which has posted positive consecutive results for October and November.

In concurrent news, DW8 also advised it had added 16 new customers to its client base, with seven of those based in the McLaren Vale wine region of South Australia.

A company statement indicates it holds a strong position in the wine region, declaring it services 65 of the estimated 74 cellar doors in McLaren Vale.

Digital Wine Ventures Chief Executive Officer Dean Taylor says he is pleased with the results.

“McLaren Vale is a prime example of how word of mouth, positive testimonials
and customer referrals have helped us develop a dominating market share in a very short amount of time,” he commented.

Digital Wine Ventures shares are up 2.13 per cent following the announcement, trading at 4.8 cents each at 10:48 am AEDT.
