The 2nd annual Super PITch event at Digger & Dealers in Kalgoorlie provides mining companies five minutes to ‘pitch’ their company’s story to investors.

Created by Discovery Capital Partners and Corporate Storytime, this year’s event is sponsored by The Market Herald and RSM Australia

Sonia Madigan:

Coming to you from the floor at the Kalgoorlie Super PITch event, which is part of Diggers & Dealers 2023.

Now I’m with Karen Wellman and she’s with Dynamic Metals (DYM), and Dynamic is a lithium and nickel-focused company working actually not too far from Kalgoorlie.

Can you tell us about the project?

Karen Wellman:

Yeah, so our Widgiemooltha project is our flagship project and as you mentioned it’s located about an hour’s drive south of here.

It’s a really well-endowed region you know, it’s a world-class nickel province and our nickel targeting is quite well-advanced so we’ve hit the ground running and kicked a few goals already in terms of our drilling since January.

And then also we’re looking for lithium as well, which is a lot earlier stage.

We’re actually finishing a soil sampling program there today, and we’ll see what comes out of the lithium potential down there.

Sonia Madigan:

Now, importantly of course, you only listed in January as a spin-out from Jindalee Resources (JRL), how hard is it to get up and going and, you know, achieve goals?

Karen Wellman:

Yeah, I mean, I think that is something that, you know, you can actually see that our projects are genuine assets because we raised money in December last year, which was a time that was pretty difficult and, you know, a lot of other companies pulled their IPOs and
didn’t get off the ground.

But I had such confidence that with these projects, we had genuine drill targets and we were ready to go.

We just needed the funding and the investors believed us and backed us with their money
and I think we’ve been able to demonstrate our results already, so that’s good.

Sonia Madigan:

Now, as far as news flow goes, what can investors expect?

Karen Wellman:

So we’re waiting on some assay results from a couple of air core programs we completed about a month and a half ago, they’re due any time next couple of weeks.

As I said our soil sampling program is finishing today, so then very little turnaround of six weeks or so for those results.

And then we’re starting drilling at an exciting target called the D5 target in two weeks
time at the Nickel prospect that we’re really keen to get started on.

So we’re going to have quite a consistent news flow coming up in the next six months.

Sonia Madigan:

Now I understand that some in the mining industry have been sniffing around your neighbours such as Essential Metals (ESS) and Bill Beament is a name that I’ve heard.

has he invited you to discuss whether perhaps your company is a takeover target?

Karen Wellman:

Not yet, but if he’s interested, I’ve got the more expensive taste for that.

So, you know, it might have to be more like champagne.

Sonia Madigan:

Then a coffee meeting, you mean?

Karen Wellman:

Yes, that’s right.

Sonia Madigan:

Okay, I’m going to give you one minute to pitch your company.

Karen Wellman:

Well, Dynamic, we’re brand new, we’re fresh, we like to live up to our name.

I think, you know, we’ve demonstrated results, we move quite quickly.

Some of our drill targets have come on tenements that were only granted two months ago.

We went and got that permitting and started drilling in two weeks, you know, we move quite fast.

Our targets are genuine, and the team has been together for several years.

This is not an IPO that was just thrown together last minute, you know, it was several years in the making and I’ve been involved with it that whole time.

So, you know, and I think the proof is in the pudding.

We’re one of the best-performing IPOs in 2023 and that just demonstrates what great assets and great team we have.
