E2 Metals (E2M) has defined 10 priority airborne electromagnetic bedrock conductors within the Mount Hope Project.

The Mount Hope Project is located in the Cobar Superbasin of New South Wales and is prospective for Cobar-style gold-copper and polymetallic lead-zinc mineralisation.

The company recently conducted a helicopter geophysical survey which covered 433 lines and marks the first modern geophysical survey within the historical Mount Solitary mining district.

E2 finds this encouraging as applying modern geophysics in historical areas has led to a number of discoveries in the Cobar Superbasin. They include Aurelia Metals’ (AMI) Federation discovery and Aeris Resources’ (AIS) Constellation discovery.

Of the 10 bedrock conductors, six are located along strike or adjacent to historical copper and gold mines or prospects.

Three of these are located up to 500 metres southwest of a historical gold working which includes a drill intercept of six metres at 8.2g/t gold from 148 metres.

One priority bedrock conductor is situated at the Mount Solar prospect where a historical drill intercept returned 12 metres at 3.78g/t gold from 24 metres.

Two other priority bedrock conductors are located up to 500 metres north-northeast of the Main Road prospect, which returned a historical result of three metres at 12.7g/t gold.

E2 Metals will now complete reconnaissance field work to ground check anomalies ahead of electromagnetic work and drilling.

Company shares ended the day 3.28 per cent in the green to close at 31.5 cents.
