Encounter Resources (ENR) has received the first round of results from its ten-hole drill campaign at the Lamil Copper-Gold Project in Western Australia.

Assay results from three of the reverse circulation holes have come in from the Dune Prospect part of the wholly owned project in the Paterson Province of WA.

Initial results returned modest gold grading, with best intercepts coming in at 132 metres at 0.31 g/t gold and 0.11 per cent copper from 87 metres including 22 metres at 0.51 g/t gold and 0.24 per cent copper.

Hole ETG228 yielded 58 metres at 0.20 g/t gold and 0.12 per cent copper from 95 metres including 18 metres at 0.29 g/t gold and 0.30 per cent copper.

Results from the remaining seven expected towards the end of May.

Encounter Resources Managing Director Will Robinson said the results indicate the explorer is approaching the core of the system.

“The first assay results from the broad spaced RC drill program in February 2021 have extended the mineralised zone at Dune further to the south and east,” he commented.

“Diamond tails will extend a number of RC holes at Dune commencing in May/June 2021,” he said.

Encounter Resources shares are up 3.13 per cent following the announcement, trading at 16.5 cents at 4:11 pm AEST.
