Diablo Resources (ASX:DBO) has expanded geochemical silver-antimony anomalies and new copper soils amid ongoing preparations for its maiden drilling campaign, after recent reconnaissance sampling across the East Star and South Star prospects successfully broadened the ASX-listed explorer’s pipeline.

The explorer was recently given the green light to start its maiden 1,000-metre diamond drilling program at the project after U.S. permitting came in.
Early works at the prospects have seen assay results extend the silver-antimony anomaly by approximately 1,400 meters to the northeast. When combined with previous data, the total prospective trend now spans more than 3,000 meters.
Meanwhile, first-pass soil sampling at East Star defined a coherent copper-in-soil anomaly measuring approximately 400 by 200 meters. This anomaly aligns with historical workings and complements previous chip sampling that returned peak grades of up to 7.39% copper alongside strong silver associations.
“Latest results continue to expand the exploration pipeline,” CEO Lyle Thorne said this morning. “South Star now hosts an Ag-Sb anomaly extending more than 3,000 metres, while East Star has defined a coherent copper-in-soil anomaly associated with historical workings and previously reported results.”
“With maiden drilling at North Star commencing in the coming weeks and the Horn Silver acquisition progressing, Diablo is entering a significant period of drilling and exploration activity across its Utah portfolio,” he declared.
Site preparations are now underway at the North Star prospect, where a maiden diamond drilling program is scheduled to commence in the coming weeks.
This exploration activity is backed by a recent $3.5 million share placement designed to fund the broader drilling-led exploration phase across Diablo’s Utah portfolio, the Oz company pointed out to shareholders today.
Elsewhere, Diablo is progressing the acquisition of an 80% interest in the nearby Horn Silver Project in accordance with its agreement terms. HotCopper understands the company will integrate latest geochemical data with existing geophysical datasets to rank additional high-priority targets as exploration advances.
Heading into Tuesday morning, DBO shares are 11cps.
