Epsilon Healthcare’s (EPN) Telehealth medical cannabis clinic group Tetra Health has opened its first physical clinic in partnership with Astrid Healthcare’s dispensary in Victoria.

South Yarra-based Astrid is known as Australia’s first green dispensary, pioneering cannabinoid medicine, plant-based therapies and nutraceuticals.

The arrangement will offer patients the opportunity to see a Tetra doctor in-person, in a separate consulting room co-located at the Astrid Dispensary.

Under the agreement, Tetra will also become Astrid’s preferred medical cannabis supplier for in-person consultations.

Patients of the new Tetra clinic will be charged at a higher rate for treatment than the current Telehealth offering, however, access to Medicare rebates will achieve similar out-of-pocket costs.

Epsilon Health CEO Jarrod White said Tetra’s expansion to a physical location supports the company’s patient-centred ethos.

“Working with Astrid through Tetra Health we expect this new clinic to offer a unique personal patient experience from a team highly motivated and guided by ensuring the best patient care,” Jarrod said.

Founder and Head Pharmacist of Astrid Healthcare Lisa Nguyen said the company is “very pleased” to be working with Tetra Health.

“We see this opportunity as a key add-on benefit to our patients,” Lisa said.

Tetra Health expects to see a strong uptake of the clinic service among Melbourne patients and will look to expand the model into additional regions over time.

Epsilon shares are up 4.17 per cent, trading at 25 cents each at 1:15 pm AEDT.
