The Aussie company has already commenced plant refurbishment, which is underway after wrapping up the restructured option to purchase the 150-tonne-per-day antimony processing facility.

The explorer’s MD and CEO, Mike Brown, said the finalisation of the purchase of the processing facility is delivering a significantly accelerated and capital-efficient pathway to near-term antimony production.

“This amendment is a win for shareholders. By shifting the bulk of our capital commitment to the back end of the permitting process, we have significantly de-risked the Tecomatlán acquisition,” Mr Brown said today.

“We are no longer just paying for a lease; we are paying for results. This agreement ensures that our capital is deployed in lockstep with the delivery of the soil use permits and final flotation approval, providing a clear, incentivised path to first antimony production.”

Mr Brown said the updated acquisition features milestone-based payments, significantly reducing upfront risk and preserving shareholder value. “This milestone marks EVR’s transition from explorer to near-term producer, with a clear and executable development pathway now in place,” he explained.

EV Resources is targeting near-term production utilising high-grade feed from the Los Lirios project and regional sources. The Los Lirios project (EVR 70%) is the cornerstone of the company’s plan to fast-track North American antimony supply. Located in the Oaxaca state, the high-grade asset is a combination of geological potential and immediate path-to-production infrastructure.

Unlike conventional mining projects that face lengthy development timelines, Los Lirios is an active opportunity, combining the high-grade mineral resource with the nearby Tecomatlán processing plant.

EVR is steady at 0.8cps on Thursday.
