Robotic technology company Fastbrick Robotics (FBR) has signed a contract with Archistruct Builders & Designers.

This contract will see the company supply its bricklaying service, Hadrian X, for the construction of a display home in Western Australia.

The display home will then be purchased by FBR and, once built, it will be open to the public, collaborators, suppliers, and customers to promote the use of Hadrian X in home construction.

Hadrian X is a construction robot that speed up the bricklaying process.

The robot uses FBR’s dynamic stabilisation technology (DTS) to measure movement caused by wind, vibration, and inactivity and then counteracts it in real-time using advanced algorithms to provide precision.

The control system uses computer-aided design to create a 3D model of the building, essentially telling Hadrian X what to build and which materials it will need.

This contract will replace FBR’s previous agreement with Brickworks Building Products, which it discontinued in late June due to the current COVID-19 economic landscape.

“We are pleased to be continuing our relationship with Archistruct, and we are looking forward to demonstrating the capabilities of the Hadrian X on a residential building site here in Western Australia together,” CEO and Managing Director Mike Pivac said.

FBR is up a steady 22.9 per cent and shares are trading for 4.3 cents each at 11:52 am AEST.
