“I’m genuinely excited to be joining Dalaroo at a time when the company is poised for significant growth,” the veteran geologist said today.

His early focus, Morgan explained today, will be to speed up expansion and “drive that momentum forward” both overseas and at home in Australia.

“I see exceptional opportunities not only within our existing tenement packages in Côte d’Ivoire and Greenland, but also in the strategic acquisition and advancement of new projects across West Africa,” he said.

“I’m particularly enthusiastic about the potential within our Gascoyne tenement package [in Western Australia],” the company chief added. “The area… offers tremendous scope for discovery and development [and] I look forward to working with the Dalaroo team to unlock the full value of these opportunities.”

Morgan has held senior operational, geological, and exploration roles at listed ASX explorers like Focus Minerals (ASX:FML), Westgold Resources (ASX:WGX), and Panoramic Resources (ASX:PAN) over the last 18 years.

Dalaroo was drawn to Mr Morgan as its new chief thanks to his “mine optimisation experience” and his many contributions to resource growth.

Through his 18 years in leadership, the new Dalaroo helmsman ticked up a track record for identifying high-value geological targets, overseeing drilling programs, and managing exploration outcomes that closely aligned with corporate growth strategies. He’s experienced in regulatory approvals (which will be needed in Côte d’Ivoire), as well as environmental compliance, and more.

He has most recently been involved in progressing geophysical surveys, geochemical sampling, geological modelling, and JORC-compliant reporting before this move; all that will help the explorer immediately.

Mr Morgan will earn around $300,000 a year in his new role.

DAL shares head into Tuesday trade at 4.3cps.
