  • Golden State Mining has successfully identified a discrete bedrock anomaly during two moving loop time domain electromagnetic surveys at the Yule North Project
  • Golden State aimed to find bedrock conductors that indicate massive sulphide accumulations
  • The company has planned fixed loop TEM surveying to better constrain and assess the Balla Yule bedrock conductor

Golden State Mining has announced the completion of two domain electromagnetic surveys at the Yule North Project.

This survey was planned at the Balla Yule prospect, across the mafic-ultramafic intrusion. The company’s aimed to identify bedrock conductors that may indicate massive sulphide accumulations.

Remarkably, surveying at the Balla Yule prospect has successfully identified a discrete bedrock anomaly.

It has been modelled as a large, moderate conductance plate, dipping approximately 20 to 40 degrees to the north and at a depth of 130 to 150 metres below surface.

The conductor (BYC1) underlies anomalous nickel-cobalt geochemical results and nickel-copper-cobalt sulphide petrological results from RC drill samples.

“The identification of a bedrock conductor is an encouraging first step in our exploration drive at the Balla Yule Prospect,” Managing Director, Michael Moore said.

The Balla Yule prospect is a large elliptical dome feature delineated by aeromagnetic data. It’s located approximately 1.8 kilometres north of the highly prospective Sholl Shear Zone.

“We look forward to following up this geophysical survey work with a fixed loop electromagnetic survey which may assist in defining a worthy drill target,” Michael continued.

The company has planned fixed loop TEM surveying to better constrain and assess the Balla Yule bedrock conductor.

Additionally, Golden State will undertake detailed magnetic modelling of the mafic-ultramafic intrusion using the available high-resolution aeromagnetic data.
