Good Drinks Australia (GDA) has thrown open its doors to its flagship venue, Gage Roads Freo.

Located on Fremantle Harbour, Gage Roads Freo is hoped to bring new life to the port, transforming the area’s “A Shed” into a 1500-person capacity brewery, restaurant, bar, and family-friendly venue.

Built in 1926, the 100-metre-long former cargo shed has become a beloved Fremantle icon.

The $10 million development of Gage Roads Freo was funded through the group’s dedicated $12.5 million venue finance facility, as well as operating cash and was achieved on budget and on time.

The Good Drinks venue strategy aims to create up to five venues in key Australian markets.

Good Drinks Australia’s Chief Strategy Officer Aaron Heary said the team is excited to help shape the next phase of Fremantle’s development.

“Fremantle is a place that Gage Roads Brew Co has always been closely connected to,” said Mr Heary.

“Gage Roads has been around for more than 15 years, but we’ve never had a place to show people what we’re all about. That’s what’s so exciting about Gage Roads Freo.”

Good Drinks Australia last traded at 90 cents at 3:40 pm AEDT.
