- Horizon Gold (HRN) has appointed Leigh Ryan as Managing Director, effective no later than January 1, 2021
- Until Leigh begins, Executive Director Jamie Sullivan will continue in his role before reverting to Non-Executive Director
- Leigh is a qualified geologist with more than 30 years experience in the exploration and resource industries
- He has worked with the likes of Alchemy Resources, Resolute Mining, and Boss Resources
- Horizon has ended the day with no change and shares trading for 42.5 cents each
Horizon Gold (HRN) has appointed Leigh Ryan as Managing Director, effective no later than January 1, 2021.
Until Leigh begins, Executive Director Jamie Sullivan will continue in his role before reverting to Non-Executive Director.
“We are delighted to have Leigh join us. He has the ideal background to drive our exploration and development strategy for the Gum Creek Gold Project,” Chairman Peter Sullivan said.
Leigh is a qualified geologist with more than 30 years experience in the exploration and resource industries.
He has worked in project evaluation, exploration management and executive management roles throughout Australia and Africa.
Most recently Leigh was Managing Director of Alchemy Resources and before that he was Managing Director of Chrysalis Resources.
Prior to these roles, he was Managing Director of Boss Resources and Group Exploration Manager for Africa and Australia at Resolute Mining.
Further, he is a member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists and has received a graduate certificate in Mineral Economics from the Curtin School of Business.
“I am really looking forward to this exciting opportunity to lead Horizon in its quest to deliver value from its significant gold footprint at Gum Creek,” Leigh stated.
Horizon has ended the day with no change and shares trading for 42.5 cents each in a $37 million market cap.
