Good Afternoon and welcome to HotCopper Highlights for Week 20, I’m Jon Davidson. In this segment we look at the stocks you were watching and discussing the most this week, let’s get into it.

Starting with the most viewed:

Long time forum favourite Melbana Energy revealed it’s ready to export oil shipments from Cuba, alongside the Cuban government. With the first export set for next month, it’s a milestone for the Aussie explorer – but for how much money and to whom the sale goes remains unknown.

Elsewhere, Delta Lithium’s going to de-merge its own Mount Ida gold assets and spin them off into a separate company on the ASX called Ballard Mining. Delta will hold 49% of that company, the move comes as battery metal prices tank while gold soars.

Talking of metals, forum darling Larvotto came in third place. Hot ever since it had the most promising antimony reserves at the same time China banned exports of the stuff last year, on Friday, the company came out with yet another in-demand metal. Larvotto is now also boasting itself as a tungsten play.

And so what then of the most discussed?:

Mesoblast got fingers typing and hot takes firing after its key stem cell drug treating graft verse host disease won a 7-year orphan drug classification from the FDA. While that means competitors can’t make similar drugs for nearly a decade, market response was subdued – suggesting investors are more interested in seeing sales revenues at this point.

Elsewhere, true believers in Elixir Energy digested the company’s latest strategy: to find more gas in Queensland. The company already has found gas in Queensland, but flow rates weren’t great. So what the company really means is find more gas with better flow rates. That comes down in large part to new chief Stuart Nicholls, formerly the head of Strike Energy.

Finally, lithium tragic Liontown Resources remains popular, especially seeing as the stock has recently climbed above the 80cps mark. While it’s a long way off from the glory years of the early 2020’s, Liontown remains hot to trot with a recent boost in 4 week average liquidity helping the stock recapture interest.

That’s HotCopper Highlights for this week, I’m Jon Davidson, have a great weekend and we’ll see you on Monday.
