Good afternoon and welcome to HotCopper highlights for Week 46 of the year, where we bring you the most watched and most discussed stocks by HotCopper users this week.

Let’s get straight into it.

In the middle of the week, no less than 22,985 users were taking a look at the latest news from Ovanti Limited (ASX:OVT).

The fintech junior is selling its 21% stake in a financial services business in Indonesia for a neat $14M – something well received by shareholders on the HotCopper forums.

On Thursday, Israel-based Australian tech stock Weebit Nano (ASX:WBT) took the crown with 23,846 eyes on the company’s latest announcement.

This week we got news the company is launching a $50M dollar placement to sophisticated and insto investors; the stock has climbed 60% in the last month.

Finally we had Peninsula Energy (ASX:PEN) on Friday with 16,089 users soaking in its latest news on a relatively quiet trading day.

The company’s share price tanked by nearly a quarter as the stock confirmed its Wyoming uranium production plans have been delayed – while HotCopper users weren’t happy, a new December production date appears to be tolerable for the junior’s investors.

And so that’s the most viewed – but who were among the most discussed stocks on the HotCopper forums?

Resolute Mining (ASX:RSG) has featured twice this week. First for confirmation its CEO has been detained in Mali by that country’s military junta government over allegations the company owes Mali taxes.

Later in the week, we learned that the government is asking for $160M American dollars. Then, the company can have its CEO back.

Elsewhere, Liontown’s (ASX:LTR) most recent news it’s ramping things down at its Kathleen Valley project in response to low lithium prices was a wet blanket.  At least they’re not as badly hit as Mineral Resources – the latter has mothballed its lithium play entirely.

Finally, WA1 Resources (ASX:WA1) was back on the radar as it continues to develop its sensational niobium project in Western Australia. Before the stock found its niobium deposit down under, it was thought all the big deposits were in Brazil – that’s no longer the case, and WA1 remains a HotCopper favourite.

That’s all for HotCopper highlights this week. I’m Jonathon Davidson, have a great weekend, and we’ll see you on Monday.
