Sonia Madigan:

We’re coming to you from Kalgoorlie Diggers and Dealers 2023. And tonight, Iceni Gold (ICL) has a special event at the Kalgoorlie Hotel.

Iceni also had news out today. They found a two-ounce gold nugget at their Claypan target, which is just three hours from Kalgoorlie as the crow flies.

I’m joined by Brian Rodan. He’s the chairman. And also Dave Nixon, who’s the Technical Director.

Now, Brian, tell us about this find.

Brian Rodan:

Well, Sonia, it’s pretty simple.

The boys are working onsite, they’re doing fieldwork, looking at the rocks, crawling around on the ground and there it was right there – a two-ounce nugget. You wouldn’t believe it.

Sonia Madigan:

What does this mean for the company?

Brian Rodan:

Well, what it means is it puts a lot more emphasis now on the Claypan target. It’s a big target and finding something like this amongst the anomalous drilling is very important. It’s a key signature for a potential gold discovery underneath Claypan Hill.

Sonia Madigan:

Now what about you Dave, how do you view this find?

Dave Nixon:

Yeah, a find like this is important to us.

We knew that large nuggets were coming out of this area, it’s just that we haven’t seen them yet until now. And local people have been finding big nuggets.

I mean there was a report of a child, an eleven-year-old boy finding a six-ounce nugget
last year.

But we saw a photo of it but we don’t have the exact location. So we know it’s in that area. So, finding something like this ties everything together. It’s really good.

Sonia Madigan:

So, the latest nugget, Dave, is still on site, but you’re holding two quite sizeable pieces
there. Can you tell us about those?

Dave Nixon:

Absolutely. So, this one is EV3 from Everleigh. That’s about an ounce and a half. And this one is GY1, and that’s the large one from Guyer. So, there’s quite a bit of gold there, I mean, the best part of four ounces, I guess. Three and a half, four ounces. So, that’s pretty good.

Sonia Madigan:

So what are your next steps on the ground now?

Dave Nixon:

Yeah, so if this area needs infill drilling, that’s the next step. So that’s what we’re looking to do.

Sonia Madigan:

So when would that be on the cards, Brian?

Brian Rodan:

Well, Sonia, you’re always asking the tricky questions. I mean, this is Diggers & Dealers, we’re at the famous Judd’s Hotel, and everyone’s going to be advised very soon about what’s going on.

Sonia Madigan:

Now you are having this event tonight, of course, you’re taking part in the forum
itself. Why is it important for companies like yours to be here and to be visible?

Brian Rodan:

Well Kalgoorlie is the king of the gold country for Australia and anyone who is in the game
of exploration, whether it be gold, nickel, lithium, or rare earth, you need to be here
at Diggers every year, providing your company and connecting with all the investors.
