However, the ASX website states the market is closed on Sunday as normal on April 25, the day on which Anzac Day officially falls this year.

The overall confusion about whether or not the ASX is open on Monday likely stems from different states and territories across Australia observing April 26 as a public holiday.

NSW, Victoria and Tasmania will operate as normal on Monday, April 26, with no public holiday in place for Anzac Day.

Meanwhile, WA, South Australia, the Northern Territory, Queensland and the ACT all have public holidays planned for that day.

Regardless of whether or not you get a public holiday on Monday, the ASX will be open.

Speaking to The Market Herald, the ASX verbally confirmed the market will be open for trade on April 26.
