Linius Technologies (LNU) has penned a new agreement to provide its sports solution, MatchVision, to the Australian Professional Leagues.

The Australian Professional Leagues (APL) is a live action and digital spots entertainment business that holds the exclusive rights to market top tier professional domestic football competitions in Australia.

Collectively dubbed the “A-Leagues”, they are made up of the Isuzu UTE A-League Men, Liberty A-League Women, A-League Youth and the E-League.

The initial contract deployment will see MatchVision rolled out on the APL’s KEEPUP.com.au website and mobile app during the December quarter.

It will include current and recent season content from the men’s competition at zero cost to fans.

MatchVision, provided in partnership with Swanbay, and with Linius LVS at its core, is a video experience designed to increase fan engagement through personalised video compilations.

This marks the first deal Linius has signed under enhanced its partnership agreement with Swanbay.

The company noted that future extensions will include women’s competition content and a rollout to individual club websites.

“We have seen 35 per cent return visitor rates with those visitors watching six times more video!” Linius Chief Executive Officer James Brennan said.

“This success is now bringing new opportunities, increased deal momentum and speed to new revenue in multiple sports all over the world.

“Together with our great partner Swanbay, we anticipate even more success from MatchVision soon.”

The deployment is expected to launch in December 2022, with an initial term of 12 months.

Linius Technologies last traded at 0.4 cents at 2:42 pm AEDT.
