Mamba Exploration (M24) has announced it will commence reverse circulation drilling (RC) at its Black Hills and Calyerup Creek Western Australian-based projects.

The company said the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS) had finally approved the programme after a multi-week delay on the department’s side.

Drilling at the Black Hills within the Darling Ranges will commence tomorrow after a longer than usual regulatory period, with approvals taking almost 10 weeks to process.

At Black Hill, the project includes three deep holes to test initial EM and magnetic anomalies at the estimated depth of 400 metres.

M24 has estimated the series at Black Hill should take between seven to 10 days to complete.

The RC series has been approved at Calyerup Creek for a 50 hole program starting on Friday this week.

Drilling here will be conducted along two 1400 metre long soil anomalies that have been stagnant since 1989.

According to the company’s announcement, the Calyerup Creek RC series should be completed before the end of 2021

“Given the approvals that normally take 3 weeks have taken almost 10 weeks to be processed by DMIRS, the company has already submitted a programme of works the next phase of planned activities for approval at each of the projects so future regulatory delays will be minimised,” Managing Director, Mike Dunbar said

“We are pleased to announce that RC drilling is about to commence on two of the company’s priority targets.

“The initial drilling at the high priority anomaly at Black Hills and the southern prospect at the Calyerup Creek Gold Project will be completed prior to the end of the year.”

Mamba Exploration shares last traded at 17.5 on December 6.
