Minerals 260 (MI6) has confirmed the potential for a significant gold-copper zone at the Zest prospect within its Moora project in WA’s Julimar Mineral Province.

The company has recorded an “outstanding” new intercept of 13 metres at 3.3 grams per tonne (g/t) gold at the Zest prospect.

MI6 drilled 10 reverse circulation holes for 1715 metres as part of its recent program at Zest to test for strike and dip extensions of mineralisation intersected earlier this year.

The latest results have confirmed the down-dip extension of mineralisation, with other intercepts including one metre at 16.7 g/t gold and one metre at 16.9 g/t gold.

A two- to three-hole diamond core drilling program is currently underway at Zest to help with the understanding of the mineralisation at the prospect.

“The early indications from Zest, which was the main focus of this recent drilling program, are very encouraging,” MI6 Managing Director David Richards said.

“The outstanding intercept of 13 metres at 3.3 g/t gold appears to confirm the extension of the previously intersected copper-gold mineralised zone. This continues our success in identifying significant mineralised zones across the project area.”

In addition to Zest, MI6 has also struck “significant” mineralisation at the Mynt area within the project, intersecting up to 24 metres at 1.9 per cent copper and 0.7 g/t gold from 99-123m, including 14 metres at 2.9 per cent copper and 1.1 g/t gold.

Shares in Minerals 260 spiked 28 per cent to 32 cents per share at 10:06 am AEST.
