New World Resources (NWC) has reported more high-grade intercepts at depth during drilling at its Antler Copper Deposit in Arizona.
The materials stock has received the assay results from the seven holes recently completed at the site, testing the strike length of two shoots.
NWC said high-grade mineralisation had been intersected in all seven holes and at the deepest depth to date between the Main and South shoots.
Best results from the latest assays include 2.9 metres at 6.1 per cent copper, 12.1 per cent zinc, 1.7 per cent lead, 66 grams per tonne silver and 0.46 g/t gold, including 2.9 metres at 9.3 per cent copper equivalent.
New World Managing Director Mike Haynes believes the results suggest the strike extent of the South Shoot may increase with depth — potentially increasing Antler’s resource base.
“We continue to intersect massive sulphides in every single hole we drill at Antler and this high-grade mineralisation regularly appears to be getting thicker with depth,” Mr Haynes said.
“So, we are generating more and more targets that provide us with considerable potential to rapidly expand the resource base.
“That said – we believe we are rapidly approaching the point of having delineated a critical mass to mine. So, while we continue to explore, we anticipate concurrently advancing Antler through the mine permitting process.”
NWC also revealed on Wednesday it had received encouraging results from further drilling testing the CSAMT geophysical anomaly at the southern end of Antler.
The anomaly lies south of the South Shoot and New World reports high-grade
mineralisation was intersected in all holes.
The mineralisation also appeared to improve with depth and remains open, again providing the potential to upgrade Antler’s resource base.
Two drill rigs are currently operating at NWC’s Antler Project, with a third rig scheduled to commence in mid-October.
Shares in New World were trading down 1.52 per cent at 6.5 cents each just after market opened on Wednesday.
