- NewPeak Metals (NPM) completes its first phase drilling program at the Satulinmäki gold prospect in Finland
- Ten diamond drill holes for 1,955 metres were completed over the course of the drilling program, focussing primarily on the main mineralisation zone identified in previous drilling
- The company says visual logging of the drill core indicated consistent mineralisation across the majority of the holes
- A full evaluation of the program will be completed once all assay results have been returned, with results expected in early February 2022.

NewPeak Metals (NPM) has completed its first phase drilling program at the Satulinmäki gold prospect in Finland.
Ten diamond drill holes for 1,955 metres were completed over the course of the drilling program, focussing primarily on the main mineralisation zone identified in previous drilling.
The company reported visual logging of the drill core indicated consistent mineralisation across majority of the holes within the main Satulinmäki area.
According to NewPeak, geochemical and petrological studies on historical drilling data from the area shows mineralisation is mostly associated with calc-silicate veins and their surrounding alteration halos.
The studies also found a correlation between the presence of arsenopyrite and pyrrhotite and zones of higher gold mineralisation in historical drill holes.
A full evaluation of the program will be completed when all assay results have been returned.
Results are expected to be returned in early February 2022.
