Omnia Metals (OM1) has completed a gravity survey at the Junction Prospect within the Ord Basin Project in Western Australia.

XCalibur Multiphysics undertook the 1311-line kilometre aerial gravity survey to map the subsurface architecture where regionally acquired magnetics and gravity datasets were ineffective.

This survey defined a structurally complex transfer-zone geometry and architecture that is ideal for targeting mafic-ultramafic intrusion-related mineral systems.

Further, it provides historically defined electromagnetic (EM) anomalies with multiple discrete EM anomalies coincident with newly identified gravity anomalies.

Resource Potentials have been engaged to further process the gravity data and Omnia will complete detailed EM surveys over Junction to outline targets for drill testing.

“No detailed gravity, magnetics or electromagnetic surveys have ever been completed over the project, so our knowledge of the geology and controls on mineralisation will grow exponentially over the coming months as we begin to unlock the story,” Executive Director James Warren commented.

“The gravity data shows that the Junction Prospect sits within a ‘transfer-zone’ at the intersection of the Negri Fault and Osmond Valley Faults, highlighting a complex structural architecture and an ideal location for the formation of mafic-ultramafic intrusion-related mineral systems.

“Utilising the most modern geophysical survey techniques, Omnia will cost effectively and rapidly generate high quality targets for drill testing in upcoming exploration programs.”

Omnia was down 6.45 per cent on the market with shares trading at 14.5 cents at 3:52 pm AEST.
