  • Orcoda’s (ODA) subsidiary, Betta Group of Companies, signs a major works subcontract with engineering and construction company Laing O’Rourke

Orcoda’s (ODA) resource division, through its wholly owned subsidiary Betta Group of Companies, has signed a contract with Laing O’Rourke.

The $2.2 million major works subcontract involves delivering mechanical services as part of a contract that Laing O’Rourke is delivering for a Department of Defence project at Shoalwater Bay in Queensland.

Orcoda Managing Director Geoff Jamieson was pleased to be working with the multinational engineering and construction company.

“We are looking forward to working with the team at Laing O’Rourke on this project and winning more work with them as our relationship develops,” he said.

“Geoff Williams, General Manager of Betta Group, will have my full support in delivering on this project. Geoff and his team at Betta are very professional and have an excellent reputation for delivering on major projects.”

The Betta Group of Companies provides services such as electrical, air conditioning, demolition, asbestos, solar and high voltage works for a number of top 200 companies.

The contract has a term of approximately 18 months.

Orcoda’s shares were up 3.33 per cent to trade at 15.5 cents at 2:17 pm AEDT
