  • 4,000m air-core drilling program underway at Goodia project in WA
  • Drilling to test extensive and robust soil-defined gold anomalies
  • Surface gold anomalies represent strong targets for first-pass drill testing
  • Goodia considered to be under-explored for gold, lithium and base metals

Ordell Minerals (ASX: ORD) has commenced its maiden air-core drilling program at the Goodia project, located near Norseman in Western Australia.

The Watchlist — short video interviews with ASX leaders. Watch now.

The wide-spaced, first-pass aircore program will comprise approximately 4,000m of drilling to test three strong and coherent gold anomalies which were defined in initial field exploration last year.

The program will also examine an extensive zone of gold anomalism defined at Goodia East.

No drilling has previously been completed at these soil-defined gold anomalies, which are considered to represent strong targets for initial drill testing.

Drilling will be completed at line spacings ranging from 200m to 1,600m.

Last week Ordell reported significant assay results from resource definition and exploration drilling completed in August 2026 at its flagship Barimaia gold project located near Mount Magnet in the Murchison region of WA.

The RC drilling was aimed at delivering a maiden mineral resource estimate (MRE) encompassing the McNabs East Main Zone and Northern Zone.

The drilling targeted the western side of the McNabs East prospect testing shallow mineralisation which will be included in the MRE with the potential to be extracted via open pit mining.

A 125-hole 6,500m air-core drilling program completed in late September targeting the discovery of new, gold-mineralised felsic intrusions along the Barimaia mineralised intrusive system.

“In-fill drilling continues to deliver consistently strong results, confirming a significant zone of shallow gold mineralisation at McNabs East that will form the basis of our maiden mineral resource estimate, scheduled for delivery in the December 2026 quarter,” MD, Michael Fowler, said.

“Results have now been returned for ~30% of the 122-hole RC program which was completed over 1,400m of strike at the McNabs East prospect.

“We look forward to reporting further results as they come to hand as we continue to grow the overall scale of the Barimaia gold system.”

ORD was steady at 48.0¢ with a Mkt cap of $36.30M prior to markets opening.
