Pro Medicus’ (PME) U.S. subsidiary, Visage Imaging., has signed a seven-year contract with Intermountain Healthcare.

Based in Salt Lake City, Intermountain Healthcare is the largest health care provider in the Intermountain West region, which includes Utah, Nevada and Idaho.

The $40 million contract is based on a transactional licensing model and will see the company’s Visage 7 Viewer and Visage 7 Open Archive products implemented across Intermountain’s radiology and speciality imaging departments.

Visage 7 products deliver quick, multi-dimensional images that allows users to consolidate imaging capabilities into a single, customisable viewing platform.

The Visage 7 platform will be fully deployed on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), which leverages Visage’s cloud-engineered enterprise imaging technology.

Pro Medicus CEO, Dr Sam Hupert, considers this a very important deal as it provides the company with a strong footprint in Intermountain West.

“It also validates our decision to engineer Visage 7 from the ground up to be natively cloud-capable, with Intermountain deploying both the Visage 7 Viewer and Visage 7 Open Archive as part of our Visage in the cloud offering, making this one of the largest cloud-based PACS implementations in the world,” Dr Hupert said.

Planning for the roll-out will begin in the June quarter and Visage’s engineering team will commence data migration shortly. The first sites are scheduled to go live soon after.

Pro Medicus is up 13.1 per cent with shares trading at $35.94 at 12:44 pm AEDT.
