Pursuit Minerals (PUR) has identified additional discrete electromagnetic conductors at the Phil’s Hill Target on the Calingiri East exploration licence in Western Australia.
The conductors were found during secondary moving-loop ground electromagnetic (MLEM) surveys, designed to further refine the orientation and position of previously identified anomalies and provide targets for drill testing.
Notably, the company says highly conductive features are evident on nine lines of MLEM data over a strike length of roughly 1640 metres.
The modelled depth to top of the conductors is reportedly around 100 metres and coincident with the edge of an interpreted ultramafic sequence, in a location conducive to the concentration of PGE-nickel-copper mineralisation.
Further, PUR now recognises the conductivity of Phill’s Hill as significant, and well within the known range of conductivity for the Gonneville PGE-Ni-Cu discovery.
The company’s CEO Mark Freeman said he is encouraged by the newly found conductors.
“The MLEM program has extended and refined our drill targets,” he said.
“The Phil’s Hill target is now over 1600 metres in strike length, located in a highly prospective position on the margin of an interpreted mafic-ultramafic intrusion, where PGE-nickel-copper mineralisation often concentrates, and is ready for drilling, subject to government and heritage approvals.”
Phil’s Head remains open to the north and south, with PUR considering additional MLEM surveys to further delineate the prospect for drilling.
The company is awaiting soil and rock chip assays, which it expects within the next two weeks.
Meanwhile, additional conductors and targets are scheduled for follow-up with a second phase of MLEM surveys and ground programs.
