Ragnar Metals Ltd (ASX:RAG) has discovered a 11.55 metre spodumene-bearing pegmatite at its Orrvik lithium project in Sweden, with sampling showing that its holds lithium, tantalum and tin mineralisation, with a high-grade zone and potential for future growth.

Channel sampling of the pegmatite revealed lithium oxide (Li2O) grading up to 1.45%, plus 74 parts per million tantalum pentoxide (Ta2O5) and tin oxide (SnO2) grading 0.03%.

Within this interval was a high-grade zone comprising 3 metres at 3.11% Li2O, 48 ppm Ta2O5 and 0.04% SnO2.

Ragnar confirmed that the pegmatite had the potential to widen, given that its southern contact is concealed undercover.

The result – together with resistivity imaging completed previously – underscores Orrvik’s value as a drill target, comprising a swarm of multiple-stacked pegmatite dykes.

Ragnar executive director Eddie King said the company was looking ahead to what it could discover further, given this suite of results.

“We are pleased to demonstrate the significant widths of high grade spodumene-bearing pegmatites at Orrvik and we now look to confirm the potential scale of the Project as we hunt for further pegmatite swarms throughout the regional land package,” he said.

“The results paint an obvious drill target and we look forward to updating shareholders in due course of our plans to mobilise for Ragnar’s maiden drill program at Orrvik.”

Ragnar has been trading flat at 2.0 cents.
