Raiden Resources (ASX:RDN) is wasting no time in 2024, kicking off with a soil sampling campaign at its Mt Sholl lithium project in Western Australia.
Raiden geotechs will also be analysing samples to build evidence helping to affirm or dismiss beliefs that nickel-copper mineralisation could be on site.
Previous soil runs on-site have seen the company delineate a lithium trend in soil across 3.5 kilometres.
Work in the southeastern portion of the project boundary envelope has similarly seen the company mint a 2.5-kilometre strike for future exploration.
Nickel copper potential
Nickel and soil anomalies are being investigated on behalf of FQM, a Canada-based company with a hearty WA footprint.
To this end, Raiden has now acquired 100 per cent of rights to lithium, nickel, copper, and pathfinder elements on-site at Mt Sholl.
Ni-Cu leads will be chased up in the analysis of data from a survey FQM earlier produced.
Future plans
“During December 2023 First Quantum completed an IP survey over the northern extent of the Mt Sholl B2 Ni-Cu-PGE deposit,” the company wrote on Monday.
“First Quantum are currently reviewing the results of the IP survey, and once the review has been completed will be planning additional work over the Mt Sholl Ni-Cu-PGE deposits, and which may include a ground electromagnetic (EM) survey.”
The company highlighted on Monday it continues to work with relevant Traditional Owners in a productive fashion.
RDN shares last traded at 3 cents.
