RareX (REE) has begun a scoping study at its flagship Cummins Range Critical Metals Project.

The Cummins Range Project lies in the Kimberly Region of Western Australia, near the township of Halls Creek.

The study will be led by RareX’s General Manager of Projects, James Durrant, and will evaluate the commercial development potential of the project.

Cummins Range has seen a number of developments in resource drilling with diamond drilling expanding the mineralisation at depth and along geological structures.

Furthermore, this drilling has confirmed the presence of massive monazite crystals, demonstrating the opportunity to expand the scale of the project.

The overall aim of the scoping study is to test the financial sensitivity and scale of a proposed on-site processing facility.

The scoping study is targeted for a Q1 2022 release, giving RareX time to continue development and integrate it with processing design.

Shares in RareX were up 3.09 per cent on the market and were trading at 10 cents at 1:19 pm AEDT.
