  • Rox Resources’ Mt Fisher Gold Project has returned significant results of 8 metres at 1.86 g/t gold from 92 metres and 16 metres at 1.74 g/t gold from 56 metres
  • A total of 19 reverse circulation holes were completed for 2,751 metres
  • Further assay results are pending from follow up RC drilling to test the anomalies

Rox Resources has advised its drilling at Mt Fisher has returned significant results with further drill updates still pending.

The best results include 8 metres at 1.86 g/t gold from 92 metres and 16 metres at 1.74 g/t gold from 56 metres.

Drilling intersected significant gold mineralisation at the Dam prospect with the mineralisation extending from surface to a depth of 60 metres.

Following the successful results Rox is extending its drilling program to target extensions and test the continuity of mineralisation. The results from this are still pending.

Results are also pending from two newly identified gold prospects: Western Gravity Flexure and Bungarra.

Mt Fisher is currently under explored as a deep weathering profile obscures majority of the basement structure making the historical soil sampling ineffective.

However, the potential exists for a significant gold deposit located beneath the near surface gold anomalism is strong but exploration drilling there is almost non-existent.

Results from the recently completed RC drilling has increased the confidence and continuity of known mineralisation at the Dirks, Dam and Damsel South prospects.

Dam is a large and coherent geochemical anomaly with a strike length of over one kilometre and it has the potential to host a significant gold deposit.

Four RC holes were completed to test the southwest trending mineralised zone that was identified at the western margin. The drilling identified a thick zone of gold mineralisation associated with an interpreted shallow west-dipping structure.

Dirks lies 2.8 kilometres east of Dam and previous air core drilling by Rox identified a one kilometre continuous gold trend striking NNW-SSE.

Damsel South extends south from the Damsel Resource. The Damsel 2012 JORC compliant gold resource currently stands at 767,000 tonnes at 2.32 g/t gold from 57,000 ounces.

Any intervals in excess of 0.5 g/t will be re-assayed on a one metre basis and once the results are out follow-up RC drilling will be planned.
