Sayona Mining (SYA) has announced changes to its Board of Directors as it transitions to the next stage of growth.
SYA Managing Director and CEO Brett Lynch, who has served in the top role since July 2019, has resigned from his position due to personal reasons.
While he will be leaving the company immediately, Mr Lynch has agreed to facilitate a smooth handover.
Stepping into the role of interim CEO is James Brown, who boasts more than three decades of industry experience, including more than a decade in lithium development and operations.
Meanwhile, Philip Lucas, an experienced corporate lawyer with a strong focus on equity markets, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance, joins Sayona as an independent Non-Executive Director.
The company has recently entered the lithium concentrate production phase, with a 75 per cent stake in the North American Lithium (NAL) operation in Québec, Canada.
NAL has already made its mark in the international lithium market with its first shipment of spodumene.
Sayona Mining was down 28 per cent, trading at 9 cents at 2:19 pm AEST.
